Sydel Curry and Cameron Brink start a new podcast together
Cameron Brink is ready to multitask her way into the contemporary podcasting wave. In a newly announced venture, the Los Angeles Sparks star has teamed up with Stephen Curry‘s sister, Sydel Curry. Keeping it in the family is good news for fans, as the WNBA star has lifted all restrictions on topics she will cover.
Cameron Brink recently surprised her social media algorithm with a teaser for her new podcast, Straight to Cam with Sydel Curry. Additionally, the WNBA star dropped stunning pictures featuring herself and Curry’s sister in a vintage camera frame. The two are all decked up to put their “real selves” out there and trash the pleasantries as the fans saw in their tease.
The show, premiering on 28 January, will be produced by Wave Sports & Entertainment known for hosting hit podcasts such as that of Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce. Brink and Curry don’t seem to be holding back in a short reel they goofed to the fans, but they had no complaints.
In the shared clip, Brink shared that her agenda was to give the public a transparent idea about life in the WNBA. With episodes coming in weekly, the announcement has the fans hoping for more insights into the life of Curry family.
The expectations come considering Cameron Brink’s connection to Steph Curry as a godsister and Sydel Curry being his sibling. The Golden State Warriors star also reposted the reel on his story and gave a nod to his family.
The 2024 second-overall pick has quickly gained momentum in the WNBA if her expanding presence is any proof. Cameron Brink’s WNBA career started with great anticipation following her win in the national championship and her PAC-12 Player of the Year at Stanford. Rest assured, she lived up to the hype despite having an early end to the season with her ACL injury.
Stephen Curry had a say in Cameron Brink’s Unrivaled decision
Given Stephen Curry’s NBA success, it was fitting for Cameron Brink to consult the Olympic champion about the Unrivaled League. In an interview with People, the Sparks star shared Curry’s thoughts on the league that has changed the basketball landscape. Back when the league was just about forming, Steph Curry gave his full support.
The four-time NBA champion thought the league was a great idea considering Brink’s inclination towards ’round three basketball.’ The Unrivaled is a concept unlike any other that allows a selected few to showcase their skills. Beyond that, it has given a spotlight to the WNBA to upskill their game and provide better for the athletes.
