Steve Kerr and Stephen Curry
Steve Kerr has blessed the basketball world with another funny reaction. But the situation that led to it wasn’t amusing and could have cost the Golden State Warriors Game 4 of their first-round playoff series against the Sacramento Kings.
The game was a complete rollercoaster ride and very unpredictable until the final whistle. Late in the fourth quarter, the Warriors were leading by five when Stephen Curry attempted to take the ball down the court. But the desperate Kings set up a two-man trap to stop his progress. With no teammate open and a turnover looming, Curry decided to bail himself out and called a timeout. But the Warriors had already used all their timeouts, leading to a technical foul. This blunder gifted a free throw to the Kings, which they converted, and cut their deficit to four.
The blunder left Steve Kerr flabbergasted, who reacted by wincing in disgust and squatting to his knees. The Kings scored three more unanswered points and former Warriors star Harrison Barnes had the chance to win the game with a three-pointer. But he whiffed and the Warriors escaped with a win and tied the series at 2-2.
After the win, Steve Kerr though took the blame for the timeout blunder on him as he said: “We took the challenge and when the challenge was unsuccessful, as we were exiting the huddle, it’s on me. I’ve got to remind the guys, we’re out of timeouts and I didn’t say that, and so Steph wasn’t aware. That’s on me for not making that clear.”
Stephen Curry also discussed his unintentional mistake of calling a timeout, saying: “I ain’t gonna lie, I thought it was the smartest play in the world… I looked over at the bench and everyone was shaking their head, so it was an unfortunate situation in that respect. Thankfully we came away with the win but good learning lesson on how important all those details are. We know it but knowing timeouts, knowing the situation, it was just an unfortunate sequence right there.”
Can Steve Kerr and Stephen Curry get the Warriors past the Sacramento Kings?

Steve Kerr and Stephen Curry are very capable of leading the Golden State Warriors past the Kings and advancing to the semi-finals. The reigning Finals MVP scored 32 points while his coach made all the required adjustments and plays necessary for the Dubs to get the win.
The Kings were strong as they were led by De’Aaron Fox who dropped 38 points, 5 assists, and 9 rebounds. He was backed up by Keegan Murray who contributed with 23 points, one assist, and seven rebounds. But the Warriors didn’t let them walkway with the win as Curry, Klay Thompson (26 points), and Jordan Poole (22 points) ensured the Warriors head to Sacramento without the risk of elimination looming over their heads.
The Warriors are in for a great battle as the road game is going to be tough. The Kings will be looking to get their revenge during Game 5 and take a 3-2 lead in the series. But Curry and co. will back themselves to get the win in Sacramento and close the series in Game 6 at home.
