Steve Kerr believes Steph Curry will be a Warrior for life

Stephen Curry is a once-in-a-lifetime player in more than just one way. With his unreal shooting skills, the star also gets acknowledged for his loyalty. Curry is currently the longest-tenured player in the league with the Golden State Warriors. Now, it seems that the bounded years will increase as HC Steve Kerr believes that Curry is fully committed.

After winning the championship in 2022, the Warriors have been struggling to find success. This season especially, the Dub nation had to face a heartbreaker with Klay Thompson’s departure. But despite the team’s current struggles Steve Kerr confidently stated that the consequences would not be the same for Steph Curry. The Warriors HC feels that the superstar has no intentions of parting ways with the organization.

No way. I don’t think so. I think Steph loves the Warriors. He loves the idea of being a Warrior for life. I think that’s so meaningful for him. He has no intention. That’s what makes him unique and different. That’s why he’s not asking the organization to trade everything to go get him help.

Steve Kerr said on 95.7 The Game.

Kerr went on to praise his main star as he also assured the Warriors fans that they would not have to worry about losing Curry. The veteran coach might be on the mark considering Curry’s history with the team so far. From competing in the play-ins for a spot in the postseason, to losing key players due to physical violence, Curry has seen it all.

Upon learning about Kerr’s thoughts, Curry staying is truly good news but the team is in desperate need of some changes. The Warriors attempted to keep it together by adding players like Buddy Hield. As much as that worked out in the initial days, the roster certainly needs a bigger star next to Curry.

Steph Curry admitted he wants to be a ‘Warrior for life’

When the Warriors drafted Curry back in 2009, not many expected the relationship to last for a long time of 15 years. The Warriors quickly gained the reputation of a dynasty and for winning back-to-back championships. But it all went downhill in the last couple of years.

After Jordan Poole, Thompson’s leaving sent shockwaves in the NBA world. As nobody anticipated the break up of the dynasty, fans also started having doubts about Curry’s equation with the team. But the sharpshooter was still firm as he explained his commitment in a conversation with Yahoo Sports.

I mean, I can clearly say I want to be a Warrior for life. It’s always been my goal, and I’m saying that sitting in this chair right now, but like you said, life, and especially life in the NBA, it is a wild environment, and things change quickly.

Even when the team is falling apart, it seems that Curry would focus on improving the roster but not rethink his position. Not long ago the guard revealed that the team is ‘experimenting’ but certainly not with himself.
