The New York Jets will enter the 2024-25 season, hoping to improve upon their 7-10 record from the past season. This year, the team will get the opportunity to prove to fans how good they can be with Aaron Rodgers back at the helm. Last season, Rodgers’ year was cut short owing to a season-ending Achilles injury in his first start with the team.
Rodgers will be entering his 20th season in the NFL and is 40 years old. The quarterback may have recovered from his injury, but he is at a higher risk of re-injuring his Achilles if he is not careful of it.

In his recent appearance on The Rich Eisen Show, three-time Super Bowl champion and San Francisco 49ers legend Steve Young shared a key piece of advice for Rodgers. His availability will be the key to Rodgers and the Jets’ success this season, at least that is how Steve Young sees it.
It doesn't take any brain power to say stay healthy right like you have to...you know, game-to-game 16,18, 17 games together to stay healthy. So number one if he stays healthy then it is around does he get the help that he needs? Does he get protected? Are they going to protect him?Steve Young said
Steve Young believes if Rodgers can stay healthy and the Jets can continue to protect him, then he is going to have yet another phenomenal year.
If he gets protected and stays healthy...he is going to take advantage of today's game where you know the rule changes and the pressure on defenses where you can't drag a guy down...if he gets protected, he's going to kill it.Steve Young added
Aaron Rodgers has a lot riding on him this season as the Jets’ are expecting a return on their investment
This year Aaron Rodgers is back and the New York Jets are better than they were last season. The team struggled on offense due to woes at the quarterback position and a mediocre offensive line. This off-season, the team drafted an offensive lineman in the first round of the NFL Draft in Olumuyiwa Fashanu and upgraded the O-line.

Availability has not been a significant issue for most of Rodgers’ career, however, given that he sustained what is considered a career-ending injury for most football players at his age, it is justified to have concerns about his health. The second concern is the obvious one, which is how well the chemistry on the offense works out for the Jets on the field.
Assuming the O-line concern is taken care of, the Jets can very well sleep in peace at night knowing they are about to get their full money’s worth out of Aaron Rodgers. This year is critical for the quarterback as the franchise gave him more than just a big contract to come to the Big Apple. They allowed him to dictate which players to bring on board and gave him a say in roster decisions. So in a way, this is a must-perform season for Rodgers and the Jets.
