Former NBA legend, Kevin Garnett, also known as “The Big Ticket” was one of the most fiercest and ruthless trash-talkers during his time in the NBA. Notably, Houston Rockets’ center, Steven Adams recently opened up on a hilarious story involving Garnett and himself during his early playing days in the NBA as a rookie.
Adams shared a story about how he avoided any trash language from Garnett. In addition, Adams revealed that he deftly avoided KG’s disparaging remarks by informing him that he doesn’t speak English during a recent podcast interview.

This revelation was somewhat hilarious and took the NBA community by surprise, especially with the way Adams handled the situation.
Adams was playing for the Oklahoma City Thunder in his rookie 2013-14 season in the NBA when he came up against Garnett and his side, the Brooklyn Nets. However, Garnett is not one of those guys who would let this slide. Hence, it now remains to be seen whether or not Garnett chooses to respond to Adams’ recent take or ignores it in the coming days or months.

As such, Adams is therefore frequently wanted by teams, whether they need him as a starting player or on the bench. It remains to be seen how Adams performs in the upcoming 2024-25 NBA season.
