‘Stressed out’ Angel Reese watched brother ‘JuJu’ Reese’s stellar March Madness run end
Angel Reese watched younger brother, Julian 'JuJu' Reese, and his Maryland Terrapins play in the Sweet Sixteen round of March Madness.

Angel Reese's brother Julian 'JuJu' Reese
Angel Reese has become one of the most well-known women athletes in the world. Her exploits in college basketball as well as the WNBA have made her a household name. But she is not the only athlete in her family, as her brother Julian ‘Juju’ Reese also stars for their hometown Maryland Terrapins.
Angel Reese initially started her college basketball career playing for Maryland. Two seasons later, she decided to enter the transfer portal and join the LSU Tigers. There she elevated her game as well as her stature once she won the NCAA Championship playing against rival Caitlin Clark.
But her brother, has stayed on with the Terrapins. This means he is basically playing close to home and stays with his mother. Julian Reese played off the bench as a freshman. But from his sophomore year onwards, the 6′ 9″ forward was a starter and contributed consistently.
This season was his last and he was already putting together a decent run of form. But he stepped up in March Madness with near double-double contributions in the first two rounds. In the round of sweet sixteen, they faced the No. 1 ranked Florida Gators and unsurprisingly, Angel Reese was sitting courtside.
That game stressed me out man.

The WNBA rebounding phenom posted this immediately after the game. Cameras capturing her in the game showed just how stressed she was. Eventually, the Florida Gators were too strong for Maryland, and they won 87-71. That brings an end to Juju Reese’s college career.
Will JuJu Reese play in the NBA?
Julian ‘Juju’ Reese might have had a productive college basketball career. But there is a reason why he was not considered NBA ready throughout his college career. He has not shown yet that he is outstanding enough to be a part of an NBA team.
His freshman teammate Derrick Queen will likely be one of the top 10-15 players off the board. As of now, Reese is not even listed in any of the mock drafts. But if he can arrange some workouts with any of the teams, he could find his way at least into the G League.
Not everyone does well in the G League, but if he can, some team could find interest in his skills and sign him to a contract. It will be a long grind, but if he puts his head down and works with a good coach, he could find a way into the NBA.
Otherwise, the 21-year-old does not have the resume to follow in the footsteps of his older sister. He could also try playing overseas, just like LaMelo Ball and a few others have done. But that could be an even longer path which will require a lot of dedication.
Angel Reese to work out soon with new Chicago Sky HC
In her rookie WNBA season, Angel Reese had first year head coach Teresa Weatherspoon to guide her. That guidance led to a single season rebounding record and the team was a few wins away from making it to the playoffs.
But the Chicago Sky top brass decided Weatherspoon did not do a lot of things right and let her go. They then hired former Las Vegas Aces assistant Tyler Marsh to be their next head coach. Marsh is credited to helping A’ja Wilson become the dominant force she has become.
His player development skills also helped Dearica Hamby, Jackie Young and Kelsey Plum become All-Star’s and Olympians. If he can work the same magic with Reese and fellow rookie Kamilla Cardoso, the Sky could have a dominating frontcourt to pair with the veteran backcourt they signed this offseason.
The Chicago Sky have the tools to become a solid playoff threat. If Reese starts working out with Marsh soon, she can elevate her game and continue the improvement she displayed in the Unrivaled League on the way to their championship win.
