Subtle dig at Stefon Diggs? Josh Allen admits it’s nice to have players that don’t care about stats after Bills’ massive win over Jaguars

The Buffalo Bills are on a massive rise after defeating the Jacksonville Jaguars in Orchard Park on Monday night to start 3-0 for the first time since 2020. The Buffalo Bills, that year, reached the AFC Championship game where the Kansas City Chiefs defeated them.
The meteoric rise in form has made their starting quarterback, Josh Allen a bit bolder too. Allen seemed to have taken shade at former teammate and current Houston Texans WR Stefon Diggs in his latest commentary.
Allen noted that it is refreshing that all the players in the team are playing for the team and not for statistics.

Although Allen didn’t exactly quote Diggs’ name, fans believe it is a shade. It could completely be the fabrication of the insanely hyped-up beef from last year, and nothing more. Nevertheless, it is not a lie to say that Diggs was not a team player and many felt relieved when he left.
Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs had been on the outs for a long time before the trade even happened. Diggs didn’t prefer the Bills and had microaggressive bouts – getting to a point where he eroded the Bills’ patience thin. Allen and Diggs’ drama apparently started out in the 2023 playoffs when the Bengals bounced them badly at home.
Stefon Diggs ditched the field as fast as a cheetah, not even hanging around for the press conference or the HC Sean McDermott’s speech after the game either. It all came tumbling quite soon with cryptic tweets from Diggs’ side following into the off-season, creating an unwanted atmosphere in the team lockers. Eventually, Diggs was traded to Houston Texans where he was named captain in his first season.
Stefon Diggs-less Josh Allen leads NFL MVP leaders’ list
After the steamrolling 47-10 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, Josh Allen, who’s finally devoid of selfish players is leading the favourites for winning the NFL MVP this time. As of Tuesday Morning, Allen has pipped Patrick Mahomes to second place for the odds to win the coveted title. Earlier, Stephen A. Smith had considered Allen and Tua Tagovailoa for the most valuable player after Week 1.
In three games, Josh Allen has recorded seven TDs while maintaining the second-best pass completion rate in the league behind Washington Commanders’ Jayden Daniels. After the slow start against the Arizona Cardinals, Allen has been playing without making any mistakes of his own. He also hasn’t thrown an interception so far.
Allen also has the highest QBR in the league with 92.6 ahead of New Orleans Saints’ Derek Carr. The metric is the best that the league has seen since introducing it in 2006. Under the new offensive coordinator Joe Brady, the Bills have improved far more than the few glimpses of the past season.
