Suns and Jazz trading multiple 1st rounders has NBA twitter staring at impending arrival: “Jimmy Butler you are a Sun…”
Phoenix Suns have to work with other teams if they are to complete a trade for Miami Heat superstar Jimmy Butler.
Phoenix Suns and Utah Jazz traded picks to possibly facilitate Jimmy Butler move
For weeks now, the Phoenix Suns were touted as the team to trade for Miami Heat superstar Jimmy Butler. But to facilitate that trade, the Suns will need Bradley Beal to waive his no trade clause. However, Pat Riley is not one who might be interested in receiving the struggling star.
That meant the Suns would have to look at other trade partners to move Bradley Beal. The superstar has struggled since joining the team and was benched earlier this month. Since then, they have had a winning record and look to build on that form.
But to move Beal and his colossal contract, other teams have to get sweeteners. In fact, the Heat will also need draft picks if they want to let go of their leading superstar. That led the Suns to look for opportunities that would help them and Shams Charania revealed earlier what they have accomplished.
This means, the Phoenix Suns sent their 2031 1st round pick to the Utah Jazz in exchange for three 1st rounders. Those three first round picks might be the trade assets they need to complete the trade for Jimmy Butler.
The Phoenix Suns are trading their 2031 unprotected first to the Utah Jazz for three first-round picks, sources tell ESPN. The Suns are acquiring the least favorable firsts in 2025 of Cleveland/Minnesota, 2027 of Cleveland/Minnesota/Utah and 2029 of Cleveland/Minnesota/Utah.

The 6 x All-Star has made it clear that he would prefer to join Kevin Durant and Devin Booker. But for that to happen, a cash and asset strapped Suns had to thank the Utah Jazz. This does not mean that Butler will invariably land with the Suns, however, the chances of it happening are much higher now.
Fans believe Jimmy Butler is heading to Phoenix
At first glance, the Utah Jazz trading three first rounders for one shocked fans. However, those three first rounders might be towards the end of the first round if the Cleveland Cavaliers or Minnesota Timberwolves make deep playoff runs. The Suns on the other hand have given up a possible high draft pick.
Fans understood that the franchise wants to win now. They believe the team is building up for Jimmy Butler‘s impending arrival and their comments on social media expressed that. Check out examples of those comments below.

For the idiots, the suns just wanted more tradable first rounders. They are gonna trade these picks for Jimmy probably

Fascinating deal. Gives the Suns more ammo to do whatever they want, even aside from Jimmy Butler, such as flipping the Nurkic salary. And Utah gets one of the NBA’s highest value long term picks.

But according to the @warriors GM "Trades are hard"…🤡🤡🤣🤣
The NBA trade deadline is not far off. That means, to continue working on improving their season the Phoenix Suns and Miami Heat have to complete the trade soon. The next few days will show how it all pans out.
