No one imagined the NBA would be the source of this much drama. The past few days have seen never before thought of scenarios leaving the world shocked. Luka Doncic did headline the NBA trade deadline moves, but some other stars such as Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal were also linked to move on.

The Phoenix Suns wanted Jimmy Butler to come in from the Miami Heat. For that to happen, they needed Beal to waive his no-trade clause. However, the star guard preferred to stay back, which made the situation difficult.

Then, there were rumors of the Golden State Warriors wanting to trade for Kevin Durant. When the Suns caught wind of this, they wanted to explore that possibility, as with that, they could create the salary cap space necessary to land Butler.
