No one imagined the NBA would be the source of this much drama. The past few days have seen never before thought of scenarios leaving the world shocked. Luka Doncic did headline the NBA trade deadline moves, but some other stars such as Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal were also linked to move on.

The Phoenix Suns wanted Jimmy Butler to come in from the Miami Heat. For that to happen, they needed Beal to waive his no-trade clause. However, the star guard preferred to stay back, which made the situation difficult.

But he did not want to move to the Warriors and clarified he wanted to stay put. As Devin Booker was untouchable, the entire situation at the Phoenix Suns has turned into something they did not want to happen. ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne revealed while on NBA Today.

The ESPN analyst believes the two-time NBA Finals MVP was not aware of any conversations until this weekend. Then him knowing that the team were exploring the possibility of trading him, made the situation in the locker room worse. Now as per her sources, the entire team is on edge.

Timberwolves made last ditch pitch to trade for Kevin Durant

For a player as proud as Kevin Durant, the last thing he would want was to know that the team he wants to win championships with, tried to offload him. It seems the Phoenix Suns entertained offers from not just the Golden State Warriors, but also another team as Insider Chris Haynes reported.

A team that made a last-ditch effort near the deadline to engage the Phoenix Suns on trading for Kevin Durant to no avail: the Minnesota Timberwolves.

This means, the Minnesota Timberwolves tried to unite Anthony Edwards with his idol ahead of the NBA trade deadline. However, now it seems the Suns did not agree to the deal. It is possible that the 15-time All-Star was made aware of this trade too.

Durant has already mentioned how media should talk about how teams are not loyal to players. Now he has further proof on how his team thinks about him. If all this impacts the team, their hopes of winning an NBA title will go down in flames.
