After years of misery in Oakland, the Raiders moved to Las Vegas ahead of 2020 season with high hopes. However, they have been to the playoffs only once in the last five years – amid poor management and internal issues. The widespread misery has also translated into several key players like Maxx Crosby wanting to leave the franchise for better alternatives.

The struggling Raiders situation has led to some speculations of Crosby potentially making an exit after the year. The four-time Pro Bowler has yet to make a firm commitment to staying with the team long term.

I don’t wanna join the damn Chiefs and get a Super Bowl. That would mean absolutely nothing to me.

Maxx Crosby said

Earlier, in June 2024, Crosby admitted that he doesn’t want to embark on Lebron James‘ route to glory. He added that winning a Super Bowl in Las Vegas and the Raiders would be much sweeter after the highs and the lows he shared with the team.

The guys who inspire me are the Kobes and the Jordans; the guys that stayed at the same place and won in the same place. No offense to the guys like LeBron and those dudes — I won’t give them some heat but they took the easier road traveled and that’s not the way I look at it. Going through the ups and downs and the hardships is going to make it that much sweeter when I do win a Super Bowl. So I plan on being here for a very long time and I plan on winning here.

The Las Vegas Raiders are moving in the right direction

The Las Vegas Raiders are looking for some change in the upcoming season. After firing Antonio Pierce, the Raiders hired Pete Caroll, who was instrumental in taking the Seattle Seahawks to their first Super Bowl years ago.

While making the rounds on Radio Row at the Super Bowl LXI venue on Thursday, Crosby shared his thoughts on the current state of the Raiders, suggesting that things are trending in a positive direction regarding his future with the team.

I’ve had doubts in the past. I feel like this past year was the hardest part of my career. Battling through injury the whole year, struggling, losing 10 games in a row. Up here, it makes you start questioning a lot of things. It seems as if we’re going in the right direction. I can’t say that it is, but this is probably the most optimistic I’ve been in recent years.

Maxx Crosby told Pro Football Talk Live

As per Marissa Myers, the Raiders are expected to bring in Zach Wilson to replace their current quarterbacks. Zach Wilson showed strides of improvement in Denver Broncos and could alleviate their signal calling troubles for a short time. With a draft impending and a long offseason, the Raiders are expected to make more moves.
