MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina share a deep friendship and good bond between them. This has been created by playing together for so many years in the Indian Cricket Team and also in the Chennai Super Kings. Raina played under Dhoni in the 2011 Cricket World Cup and the 2013 Champions Trophy campaign. The batting partnership between both of them have saved many games for India and also for CSK.

Under MS Dhoni‘s captaincy, Raina has grown to become a better player. The former Indian captain has always trusted and supported him. Hence Raina has been able to cement his place in the Indian Cricket Team and CSK. During the IPL, all the stadiums are filled with fans with yellow jersey with Dhoni’s name on the back. During IPL 2024, Dhoni rolled back the years and displayed his finishing skills.

He was at his destructive best at the back end of the innings, hitting sixes and fours at will and proving why he has been one of the greatest finishers the game has ever seen. He handed over the CSK captaincy to Ruturaj Gaikwad at the start of IPL 2024, which could definitely indicate that it might have been his last IPL. However, he still hasn’t officially stated anything regarding this matter.
