“I hope this serves as an example”: Egyptian swimmer Farida Osman’s inspiring message after ground-breaking performance

Farida Osman is an Egyptian competitive swimmer who specialises in freestyle and butterfly stroke. The 27-year-old is currently the fastest swimmer in Egypt and Africa. Osman holds the senior national records for all the butterfly, freestyle and backstroke events as well as African records in the 50m and 100m butterfly events.
Osman African continental and Egyptian national records at the FINA World Swimming Championships in Budapest, Hungary. She swam a fantastic time of 25.39s in the 50m butterfly event to finish fourth overall. Farida now has the fastest 36 times by an African swimmer in the event.

Farida Osman’s message after inspiring swimming performance

After the inspiring performance of Osman, she has set her self as one of the best swimmers in Egypt. Osman made the finals of the 50m butterfly event for the fifth straight time at the World Championships. She won bronze medals over the distance at the two previous World Championships in 2017 and 2019.
“To all those who lost faith, whether you in yourself or others in you… I hope this serves as an example for all aspiring athletes- when there’s a will, there’s a way! 2 best times ✨2 new African records✨ الحمد الله” she said in her tweet. The two time Olympian is looking unstoppable as she continues to grow in her journey.
