One of the all-time most decorated Olympians is Michael Phelps. Phelps, known as the greatest swimmer of all time, has won 28 Olympic medals, including 23 gold ones. The former American swimmer continues to motivate aspiring athletes after his retirement.
On Sunday, Michael Phelps paid a visit to the University of Alabama and hosted an interactive session there. Following Nick Saban’s invitation, the Olympic medalist traveled to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, to play football for the University of Alabama. The celebrated swimmer was invited to interact with his team by the college football coach.
Nick Saban, the coach, said after the practice that Phelps’ lecture had a “great impact” on the young athletes. In reference to the well-known swimmer, Saban remarked that his deeds spoke louder than words.
Following Phelps’ visit, Coach Saban stated in a press conference: “It’s all about choices. Michael Phelps talked last night and said your actions speak louder than words. The message is clear. We try to help our players to be successful in life. His message is of high impact for young people on how to face life, not just sports.”
Saban’s glowing remarks coincided with the announcement that Michael Phelps would join him and his professors on a podcast. As part of the “Bama Cuts” YouTube series, the University of Alabama football team released images of the encounter in which Phelps could also be seen speaking with Saban.

Nick Saban is regarded as one of the greatest college football coaches, which is important to note. After leading the LSU Tigers to the BCS National Championship in 2003, he accepted the position of a head football coach at the University of Alabama in 2007. Six BCS championships have been won by the Alabama Crimson Tide football team under Saban.
Saban is the most successful college football head coach in history because of his seven national championships. The famous coach has a stellar 178-25 lifetime record. Alabama is currently without a doubt the top college football team in the last 20 years, and they have the hardware to prove it. With 127 selections, they are second only to Ohio State (141) in terms of the number of players selected in the NFL since 2000. With 31 players selected in the first round since 2000, Saban’s team is tied with Ohio State for the most picked players.
In 2016, Michael Phelps declared his retirement from the world of competitive swimming. The 37-year-old retired from swimming following the Rio Olympics, where he added five more Olympic gold medals to his collection. The sportsman recently said that he lives by the slogan “dream, plan, reach” as his key to success. Phelps mentioned the three-step philosophy to success while addressing Citadel employees at a party where he was a guest.
The native of Baltimore, Maryland, claimed that his actions were “outstanding and unprecedented, “Since he was prepared to “perform the work,” The distinguished swimmer concluded by saying that nothing is “impossible” and that he is “living proof” of this same kind.
He won six gold medals and two bronzes at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, which is arguably his most impressive Olympic achievement. During the occasion, he also set five records.
