Michael Phelps’ better half Nicole Johnson was born on July 12, 1985, at Colorado Springs. Nicole started her pageantry career after she read an advertisement for Miss Teenage California. The Colorado model went on to win the title of Miss California in 2010. Johnson went on to compete in the Miss USA pageant but was placed ninth.

The 35-year-old model has a degree in Arts and Communication. Nicole and Phelps got engaged on February 21, 2015, and tied the knot the following year on June 13. Phelps and Nicole Johnson have three sons together and are expecting their fourth child soon. They welcomed their firstborn Boomer Robert Phelps in 2016.

Phelps and Nicole met for the first time back in 2007. It was at the ESPY Awards that the duo bumped into each other. Nicole was working as an escort at the ESPY Awards back in the day and was the first to initiate the conversation. Phelps revealed that Nicole began conversing with him and told the Olympic swimmer that she wanted ‘something different’ and the pair went on to fall for each other.

Although it was smooth sailing initially, Phelps and Johnson separated in 2011. A few years later, the love between the power couple sparked again before they went on to get engaged. Nicole played a huge role in helping Phelps through his tough phase as his mental health took a toll on him. The duo has gone from being just a celebrity couple to being an inspiration to the masses.
