Sydel Curry shared a hilarious story about her brothers
Sydel Curry was born in one of the most famous athlete families. Growing up with Stephen Curry and Seth Curry, the former college volleyball player certainly has a lot of stories about her superstar brothers. Now that the content creator has started a podcast with WNBA star Cameron Brink, Sydel shared a hilarious story about her siblings during the time of her wedding.
On the first episode of the Straight to Cam podcast, the god sisters opened up about their sibling relationship and some interesting family stories. In 2018, Sydel Curry married her long-time boyfriend and NBA player Damion Lee. While talking about her protective brothers, the 30-year-old revealed an unknown incident about her brother Seth Curry.
The Hornets guard did not wave a green flag to Lee until the day of his wedding.

Brink then added to the story by sharing a personal experience of the god-brothers’ protective side. Sydel opened up about both her brothers’ ways of expressing care but in contradictory ways. The oldest Stephen Curry was vocal but civil about his thoughts regarding his sister’s relationships. Seth on the other hand, kept quiet and rarely showed a reaction sometimes – even until the day of Sydel’s wedding.
Despite Steph being a protective brother, the siblings are quite close. After the announcement of the podcast, the Warriors star gave a shout-out to his sister and god-sister on his Instagram. On the other hand, the Hornets star was also recently seen spending quality time with Sydel’s kids.
Stephen Curry wanted to physically hurt his sister’s ex-boyfriend
Stephen Curry shared a closer relationship with Sydel’s husband, unlike Seth. The star was familiar with Damion Lee as he later shared the court with him. Both Lee and Curry played for four years together for the Warriors and even won a championship in 2022. Hence, the 36-year-old’s approval of Lee was clear compared to the younger brother. But that was not the case for all of Sydel’s boyfriends.
In the same episode, Sydel shared another incident of her oldest brother’s protectiveness. This time, however, Sydel’s sister-in-law Ayesha Curry was also involved. Sydel had a love interest in high school, but unfortunately, the boyfriend did not turn out to be a good guy. Later after her brother and Ayesha found out about her ex-boyfriend’s behavior, the couple was ready to get physical.

Fortunately for the couple, Sydel ended up marrying Lee. The couple has proved their admiration towards the Phoenix Suns guard despite his departure from Golden State. Curry in 2022, hilariously woke up his son Canon for his hyped reaction to Lee hitting a game-winner for the Suns, showing his on-court and off-court blessing.
