Rajasthan spinner Rahul Chahar grabbed the lustrous crown on Wednesday when he took four wickets while playing against Madhya Pradesh in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021. Rahul was the key bowler in cruising Rajasthan to a 10-run victory against Madhya Pradesh.

The 21-year old leg spinner troubled Madhya Pradesh’s opening batsmen- Arpit Gaud and Venkatesh Iyer, both of whom were deceived by Chahar on consecutive deliveries. Besides, he also scalped wickets of key batsmen- Rajat Patidar and Avnesh Khan.

Winning the toss Madhya Pradesh elected to bowl first and the decision proved favourable. They bowled well and dismissed the Rajasthan at 148 in just 19.2 overs.

In return, Rajasthan bowlers performed even well to outplay Madhya Pradesh and secure a win.
