Ben Simmons played a year of college basketball at LSU Tigers, where he was named the first-team All-American and the USBWA National Freshmen of the Year. Simmons is born to an African-American father and an Australian mother. And he has five siblings to complete his family.

When was Ben Simmons drafted?

Ben Simmons was declared to the 2016 NBA draft as the first overall pick by the Philadelphia 76ers. However, he had to take a year-long break due to injury to officially begin his NBA career in 2017.
