CM Punk is one of the most controversial and talked about stars not just in WWE, but in the whole world. He caught the WWE Universe by surprise when he returned to the company after a 9-year hiatus. The Best in the World soon found himself in the headlines due to his engaging feuds since his return last year.

WWE (2005-2014)

After spending his first few years in ECW, his moment of spotlight came in at WrestleMania 24, when he won the MITB contract and became World Heavyweight Champion. Punk also had one of the longest WWE Title reigns of the modern era, holding the title for 434 days. Unfortunately due to some inner conflicts, he was released by the company on his wedding day.

All Elite Wrestling (2021 – 2023)

The Second City Saint finally made his return to wrestling after a 7-year hiatus, when he debuted in AEW. Punk found success in the Jacksonville-based company too, as he defeated Adam Page to become the AEW World Champion. However, controversies followed him here too, as he was fired from the company due to a physical altercation between him and Jack Perry.

WWE (2023 – present)

CM Punk completely shocked the entire WWE Universe by returning at Survivor Series: WarGames PLE last year. Fans loved the feud between him and Seth Rollins and wished to see them fight at WrestleMania XL. However, he couldn’t fight at the Show of Shows because of the injury he suffered at Royal Rumble. Even though he is currently out of action, Punk continues to entertain fans with his amazing promo battles with Drew McIntyre.
