Chris Evert is a former Pro who was one of the biggest players on the women’s side in the 1970s and the 1980s. She was born on December 21, 1954, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida to parents Colette and Jimmy Evert. She turned Pro in 1972 and went on to become the World No. 1 staying at the top for 260 weeks. She went on to win Grand Slam events in both singles and doubles before retiring in 1989.
