Profile Information

Full Name Deiveson Figueiredo

“Deus da Guerra,” aka God of War, Deiveson Figueiredo, is one of the best flyweights to ever step into the UFC. With impressive grappling and Brazilian jiu-jitsu, the former champ is known to be one of the most dominant fighters when it comes to competing in the octagon. Deiveson Figueiredo was born on December 18th, 1987, in Brazil. He started his career in MMA very late in his career, in 2012. Though his late entry into the career didn’t affect his champion skills, having an aggressive fighting style and knockout power in his hands makes him someone who can’t be underestimated. Deiveson made his debut in the Ultimate Fighting Championship at UFC 212 in 2017, and immediately he registered his name as one of the top contenders for the flyweight division belt. After joining the UFC, God of War won six fights in such an impressive way that he got the chance to compete against Joseph Benavidez for the vacant UFC flyweight championship belt. Through a technical submission, Deiveson defeated Benavidez in the second round, and he became the champion of the division. Deiveson also will go down in the history books for his spectacular rivalry with Moreno.
