Profile Information
Full Name | Gilbert Burns |
There aren’t many fight fans who dislike Gilbert Burns. Highlighting what a true fighter looks like, Brazilian Gilbert “Durinho” Burns shows fans how to conduct oneself inside and outside the octagon. Rarely, if ever involved in drama, Burns has some exciting wins in his career – those over Stephen Thompson and Tyron Woodley definitely make the cut.
Burns will be hoping for a more eventful 2023 – in April this year, he and Khamzat Chimaev found themselves embroiled in an almighty scrap. Despite it being close and him never having looked bested by the Swede, Chimaev rung out the winner on the judges’ scorecards. Next year, Burns hopes to find engaging match-ups with the likes of Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington, in order to start mounting another title shot.
