Martina Navratilova is a former pro and holds the distinction of most Grand Slam events won across all three disciplines. She was born on October 18, 1956, in Prague, then part of Czechoslovakia to parents Jana and Miroslav Subert. She turned Pro in 1974 and became an American citizen in 1975 due to Wars back home. She ranked World No. 1 in both Singles and Doubles and is the only player to have spent more than 200 weeks at top of the rankings in both disciplines before retiring from all disciplines in 2006.

In singles, Martina Navratilova has won 18 singles titles which include three at Australian Open, two at French Open, nine at Wimbledon, and four at the US Open. In Doubles, she has 31 titles with the distinction of winning all four majors in Doubles in 1984. She also won 10 Mixed Doubles Majors taking her combined tally to 59 titles.
