Dennis Rodman is regarded as one of the greatest rebounders ever. He ruled the headlines in the 90s and is still around shocking everyone with his hard-to-believe but true stories. Dennis Rodman is a superstar who got fame not only because of his on-court greats playing alongside legends like Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Isiah Thomas, Kobe Bryant and others. But also because of his off-court stories where he was always linked with a woman or any other controversial situation, one can think of.

Dennis Rodman’s Early Life

Dennis Rodman was born on May 13, 1961, to Shirley and Philander Rodman in Trenton, New Jersey. His journey to the league was a complete rollercoaster ride. As he went from not being able to make a lay-up to getting listed as the best rebounding forward. He didn’t have a flashy college or high school career. But once he got into the NBA and knew his purpose in the system he was suiting up for. He dominated the paint area with his rebounding skills for years and ended up as a Hall of Famer, Legend and Champion. The Detroit Pistons gave him the chance to do so by drafting him 27th overall in the second round of 1986 NBA Draft.

Dennis Rodman’s Achievements

Dennis Rodman has won 5 championships throughout his career in the league. The first two were with the Detroit Pistons and the remaining three were with the Michael Jordan led Chicago Bulls. He was the rebounding champion of the league for seven straight seasons. Rodman was a complete beast on the defensive end winning 2x DPOY awards and getting 7x NBA All-Defensive First Team selections and one second-team selection. Dennis has his jersey retired by Detroit Pistons and is also a part of NBA 75th Anniversary team.
