Guenther Steiner is a motorsport engineer who currently serves as the principal of the Haas Formula One Team. Steiner was born on the 7th of April, 1965 in Merano, South Tyrol, Italy. The 57-year-old holds dual Italian and American citizenship.
Steiner joined Formula 1 in 2001. He was appointed as Jaguar Racing’s new team principal. In 2005, Steiner moved to Red Bull and began working as their technical operations director. 6 years after leaving Red Bull (in 2008), came Steiner’s big break. The Italian was appointed as Haas’ Formula One team’s team principal in April 2014, and has held the position ever since.
