Walter Hann, aka Gunther, is considered to be one of the best wrestlers in the world of professional wrestling. Gunther signed with WWE in 2019, and since then, he has established himself as one of the top stars of the company.

Professional wrestling career

NXT UK (2019–22)

Gunther, formerly known as Walter, signed with WWE in 2019 and debuted in the NXT UK brand. In the course of his three years with the brand, he established himself as the most dominant wrestler on the entire roster.

He also became the NXT United Kingdom Champion and held the title for a record-setting 870 days. He was basically unstoppable for the brand. After moving to the NXT brand, his name was changed to Gunther. He had a brief run on the brand before being called up to the main roster.

SmackDown & RAW (2022-PRESENT)

After moving to SmackDown, Gunther wasted no time getting in the title picture. He captured the Intercontinental Championship remained undefeated for more than a year.

As a part of WWE’s Draft 2023, Gunther was moved to Monday Night RAW with his Intercontinental Championship. The Ring General ended up reigning as the champion for a record-breaking 666 days, losing the belt to Sami Zayn at WrestleMania 40.
