Karl-Anthony Towns is a Dominican-American professional basketball player. The 7-ft center plays for the Minnesota Timberwolves in the NBA.
Born in Edison, New Jersey, Towns attended high school at St. Joseph. He led his team to the state championship in 2012 and earned a place among the top college players. The same year, Towns committed to the Kentucky Wildcats team. He posted big numbers as a dominant center, making his way to the top prospects in the NBA.
Karl-Anthony Towns was drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2015 as the first overall pick. He made his NBA debut against the Los Angeles Lakers and, a year later, was named the 2016 NBA Rookie of the Year.
