Klay Thompson is one of the best shooters in the league’s history. He is also a Splash Brother as since day 1 he has teamed up with Stephen Curry, the greatest shooter ever seen. Kevin Durant is also another legend he has shared the court with. His shooting skills are so great that he’s an established shooting guard in the league. And, once Klay Thompson was also referred as the best shooting guard back in the day when he was balling out. Injuries ruined his two big seasons but those take nothing away from his greatness as the 4× NBA champion is still drilling buckets with one of the best forms in the league.

Klay Thompson’s Early Life

Klay Thompson was born in Los Angeles to Mychal Thompson and Julie Thompson. His mother represented the University of Portland and even San Francisco playing Volleyball. While Mychal Thompson is a former NBA player who was the first overall pick in the 1978 Draft and has won 2 titles. Klay balled out during his time with Santa Margarita Catholic High school.

But he gained some real recognition for his talents on both ends of the floor during the three seasons he suited up for the Washington State University. Not many trusted him as an elite Hooper but the Golden State Warriors knew exactly what he was capable of doing. As they picked him as the 11th overall pick during the 2011 NBA Draft. Also, number 11 is very special for him.

Klay Thompson’s Achievements

Klay Thompson is a 4× NBA Champion and the counting is still on. The 5× NBA All-Star has 2 All-NBA Third team selections and the league has also honored his defensive efforts. He also has won the three-point contest by drilling nothing but straight buckets during the 2016 All-Star Weekend. WSU has retired his jersey and he also has three Gold Medals for representing the United States of America. Apart from the above-mentioned greats he has a lot many records registered under his name. Like: 37 points in 1 quarter. But unfortunately, he still didn’t qualify to get listed in NBA’s 75th Anniversary Team.
