Lando Norris is a Belgian-British racing driver who currently competes in Formula 1 with McLaren, under the British flag. He was born on 13 November 1999 to the British Adam Norris, a retired pensions fund manager and one of the richest men in Britain, and a Belgian mother, Cisca. He currently resides in Monaco. The Briton had a decorated junior career – and it quickly became clear he was destined for F1.
Lando Norris drove his first practice session at the 2018 Belgian Grand Prix with McLaren. Next season, he made his race debut (also with McLaren), partnering with Carlos Sainz. Norris has remained with the Woking outfit ever since – and is currently contracted with them until 2025.
Ever since making his debut with McLaren, Lando Norris has racked up 6 podiums in Formula 1, with his latest coming at the 2022 Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix – the only podium for a driver outside the top three teams in 2022. He has also taken one pole position, at the 2021 Russian Grand Prix. Norris hasn’t won any races yet in F1 but got tantalizingly close to winning in Russia.
