Muhammad Ali, known as “The Greatest,” was an American professional boxer. He is generally listed as the best heavyweight boxer of all time and is considered one of the most important sports stars of the 20th century.

Ali started amateur boxing training at the age of 12. He turned professional after winning a gold medal in the light heavyweight division of the 1960 Summer Olympics at age 18. By the Age of 22, he won the world heavyweight championship defeating the legendary Sonny Liston. Ali was well-known for his outspoken and outrageous persona. He was renowned for his trash-talking and spoken word poetry that incorporated aspects of hip-hop.
