Profile Information

Full Name Nick Diaz

Nick Diaz is arguably one of the best fighters in UFC who failed to capture the UFC gold. Born on August 2, 1983, in Stockton, California, Diaz is known for his aggressive fighting style and fearless attitude in the cage.  Before his professional debut, Diaz fought in illegal bare-knuckle MMA matches. Diaz began his professional MMA career in 2001 and won his first fight after submitting Mike Wick. Diaz quickly gained a reputation as a fierce competitor and slowly saw a rise in his fan following. Nick Diaz competed in multiple organizations before eventually signing with the UFC  in 2011. He is a former Strikeforce welterweight champion and has faced some of the biggest names in the sport, including Georges St-Pierre and Anderson Silva.  In addition to his fighting skills, Diaz is known for his outspoken personality.

He has also been involved in several controversies over the years, including brawls and a 5-year suspension for testing positive for marijuana use.

Diaz made his return to the UFC against former opponent Robbie Lawler at UFC 266. Despite his many losses in the sport, Diaz remains a popular figure among MMA fans. He has also ventured into other areas, such as starting his own cannabis business. While another fight at UFC might be too ambitious for the 39-year-old, he still believes he will fight yet again.
