Vega

Profile Information

Full Name Zelina Vega

Queen Zelina Vega may be considered an underdog, but she is an asset for the LWO. From winning the first-ever Queen’s Crown tournament to being a one-time Women’s Tag Team Champion, she has evolved a lot since her debut in WWE as a manager.

TNA (2011-2013)

Her debut on the February 10 episode of Impact! came when she faced off in an eight-woman tag team match under the ring name Rosita. Two months later, she and her kayfabe cousin Sarita won the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championship. Both then started an anti-American stable called Mexican America. The team lost their titles in July and remained titleless in their future reign. In 2013, Rosita parted ways with the company due to her contract expiration.

WWE (2017-2020)

After spending a few years wrestling in independent promotions like ROH, GFW, FEW, and CMLL, Vega took part in a WWE tryout and appeared on an NXT episode in 2016 to battle Asuka. In 2017, she signed a contract with WWE and appeared in NXT as a heel manager for Andrade “Cien” Almas. Helping Almas in various matches, the duo spent a year together before getting drafted to SmackDown Live. Zelina, in her main roster debut match, defeated Lana and feuded with her and Rusev alongside Andrade. The next few years saw her struggling for title opportunities within the division until 2020, when she was released from WWE due to her Twitch account.

Return after the release (2021–present)

Losing the titles

On night two of WrestleMania 38, Vega and ‘Mella lost their titles to Sasha Banks and Naomi. Zelina then aligned herself with Legado Del Fantasma. The faction then helped Rey Mysterio against The Judgment Day, resulting in Rey reforming the LWO. Zelina also became a part of LWO, which undertook Legado Del Fantasma as a whole. Her match against Rhea Ripley at Backlash 2023 was a career-defining moment for Vega, as she performed in front of her hometown audience in Puerto Rico and received an electrifying pop from the crowd despite her loss.
