Liverpool attacking midfielder Takumi Minamino has joined Southampton FC on loan on the final day of the winter transfer window. Minamino has signed a 6 month’s loan deal with the saint’s.

According to reports the Japanese international completed his medicals with Southampton FC on Monday and will join his teammates ahead of the game against Manchester United.

Popular transfer window spokesman Fabrizio Romano had already confirmed about the news. He has also said that the Minamino has no buy back clause for Southampton.

Takumi Minamino had completed his medicals with the club on Monday itself ahead of deadline day move. The 26 year old international will join his teammates in a hotel in Manchester ahead of the match at Old Trafford.

However manager Ralph Hassenhutl won’t be able to use him as his registration had not been completed in time for the United game. But the Japanese international will be available for the game against Newcastle United on Sunday.

Minamino’s arrival means that Southampton player Shane Long moves out of the club. Long has decided to go to Bournemouth for the rest of the season.
