Tammy Abraham admits to getting advice from striker partner Olivier Giroud

Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham has admitted that he spends time with Olivier Giroud listening to his words of wisdom. The French international is vastly experienced and is after all a world cup winner.

Olivier Giroud is currently on cloud nine having scored 5 goals in his last 2 matches ! Abraham hast to be patient to get his chance.

Giroud scored yet another goal against Leeds United in the Premier League for Chelsea. A lovely whipped in cross by Reece James found him at the near post which he finished exquisitely.

He’s currently THE man for Chelsea when it comes to scoring goals. Moreover his hold up play and physicality enables players like Pulisic and Werner to drive forward with pace.

Striker Tammy Abraham admits he has a long way to go and who better than Olivier Giroud to guide him.

“He knows the goals are there so he encourages me to work on the other side of my game. I’ve been a player always so focused on scoring goals that sometimes I forget to do the other stuff so it’s about learning that.

“The goals will always come when I work hard. I know I’ve done well but it’s about kicking on from here and pushing myself to the limit.”

Chelsea will be facing Krasnodar in the UEFA Champions League next up on Tuesday night. It will interesting to see whether Tammy Abraham or Olivier Giroud starts.

Frank Lampard is almost certainly going to give Timo Werner a rest which means Christian Pulisic will start on the left with Hudson Odoi ok the right .
