This is Thiago Silva’s second goal in Chelsea colours, and is looking quite the part at the moment. His assertive performance earned him a spot in the Premier League team of the week as well.

Tammy Abraham added two more goals to his tally. The first one came from a Timo Werner cross which he bundled away quite easily.

The German striker at the moment isn’t very prolific in front of goal and that is a cause of concern for Frank Lampard. We needed a performance, I need to be in the right places at the right times, we had to stay patient but luckily we got the three points,” Abraham told BBC.

“I need to help the team with either goals or assists, or just being a threat. It’s about keep getting goals, keep being in the right place. It’s still early doors to be looking at the table, we have to just keep picking up three points.”
