Former Pakistan pacer, Tanvir Ahmed, has slammed the Indian batting lineup in a recent video on his YouTube channel. He has stated that Indian youngsters cannot perform in the upcoming days without the presence of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.

Ahmed made his comment after India suffered a 2-0 defeat against Sri Lanka. The Indian batters, barring Sharma were clueless against the Sri Lankan spinners during chase on a turning Colombo track. The batting order failed in this series.

Kohli and Sharma have already announced their retirement from T20I cricket and it will not be long before they call it quits from the other two formats.

Tanvir Ahmed has been slamming Indian team and BCCI for quite some time now

The official host for the ICC Champions Trophy in 2025 is Pakistan. However, as per reports, the Indian team will not get permission to travel to Pakistan due to security reasons. Hence, BCCI will request the ICC to organize the tournament in hybrid model with India’s matches in Sri Lanka or Dubai.

Ahmed is totally against this and lashed out at the BCCI and Indian players in a video. He even called the BCCI coward for not allowing the team to come and play in Pakistan. Now, he has even gone on to say that if Sharma, Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah do not play for India against Pakistan, the Men in Green will comfortably defeat India. Meanwhile, India have defeated Pakistan in the last 3 matches in the ICC events.

In the three-match ODI series, the batters of India had no clue how to survive against the Sri Lankan spinners on a turning track in Colombo and chase down the total. Despite Sharma’s fast start in the powerplay, the rest of the batting line up collapsed consistently and this led to a humiliating defeat for India.
