Recently, Taylor Fritz assessed Novak Djokovic’s condition ahead of the all-important Wimbledon. Over the last few days, the world has been waiting for the Serbian to give his Wimbledon participation update, but none has been revealed yet.
This is not the first time that the American has had an update about Djokovic. In a recent interview, Fritz revealed that Djokovic had approached him to learn more about the injury and get to know more about his personal experience. Fritz had revealed then that the surgery was not a huge thing, but only the swelling was. He had added that Djokovic could return if he managed to control the swelling.

Rightly so, Djokovic made it to Wimbledon and has been to practice a few times but is still to decide on his participation in the Grand Slam. Taylor Fritz once again drew from his own experience to assess Djokovic’s current situation and is not shocked by his early recovery, stating that he himself took only 20 days to recover.
I think he has more time than I had, actually. I know for a fact my first match at Wimbledon was exactly 20 days after my surgery. So I played a little less than three weeks after my surgery.Taylor Fritz said during his Tennis Weekly podcast appearance
Djokovic luckily underwent surgery immediately, giving him a week or so more than what Fritz once had, meaning that not only can he make a complete recovery, but can also be among the contenders for the title.
Taylor Fritz had previously shared his experience of the injury with Novak Djokovic
World No.2 Novak Djokovic suffered a meniscus tear in his right knee at the French Open fourth-round match against Francisco Cerundolo. Due to that, he had to withdraw from the tournament and go into surgery immediately.
During this time, he had reached out to Taylor Fritz about the knee injury.
I told him what it was like for me. A lot of it comes down to the inflammation and how you react. It’s possible for Novak to play. It’s the exact same thing that I had and I played.Taylor Fritz had told Tennis 365

Now, the world will await some news from the Serbian, who has been continuously posting videos about his practice with different ATP players. He is yet to make a decision on his participation, also keeping in mind the Paris Olympics, which will commence soon.
