On Friday, Disney dropped the fourth episode of Taylor Swift’s docuseries, “The End of an Era” titled “Thank You for the Lovely Bouquet.” The episode has quickly become one of the fan favorites, especially the moment between the internationally acclaimed singer and her mother, tracing the beginnings of the former’s relationship with Kansas City Chiefs’ TE Travis Kelce.

Andrea, Swift’s mother, was revealed as the matchmaker between the two after she revealed that she put forward Kelce’s name to her daughter. Andrea reportedly got a hint of Kelce’s eagerness to meet the artist and gifted her the friendship bracelet he had made for her. The 67-year-old thought that, along with her cousins’ input about Kelce’s love for his mother, Donna Kelce was sweet and made Kelce a green flag.

With her mother’s input, Blank Space singer gave the tight end a chance, and it was an epic first date. She was hesitant, especially when she was strictly “non-athlete” when it came to dating. Her previous boyfriends were predominantly singers or entertainers. So, Kelce had a huge task: explain his world to her, and needless to say, he succeeded.

On our first date, he literally had to explain football as if it were, like, violent chess, which kind of helped me understand it. Like high-speed, angry chess… Now I know who’s on the injured reserve. I know who was in limited practice today for the 49ers—I’m like, what does it mean? What’s the extent of the injury?

Since dating Kelce, Swift has become an NFL fan. She has been a regular attendee at the Kansas City Chiefs’ home games and postseason games. In August, Taylor made an appearance on Kelce’s podcast with his brother, “New Heights,” where she revealed that she has become an NFL fan. She recalled screaming and running around her house when the Chiefs revealed that they had drafted Xavier Worthy.

The artist even claimed that she’s a beginner to the burgeoning world of football, but she might even become a true analyst in 16 months. Swift and Kelce are engaged and preparing for a June wedding in Rhode Island.

Travis Kelce hints at retirement after the Kansas City Chiefs crash out of the playoffs

Travis Kelce hasn’t been free in January in a long, long time. The Kansas City Chiefs’ TE has made every postseason since he became a permanent starter in 2014, except for the 2014 season, when the Chiefs finished in the hunt with a 9-7 record.

The Chiefs started the season with back-to-back losses to the Los Angeles Chargers and the Philadelphia Eagles, going 0-2 for the first time since 2014. After a quick turnaround to rise to 5-3, the Chiefs lost two straight games, picked up a win in Week 12 against the Indianapolis Colts, before tumbling into another streak of losses.

The loss to the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 15 was the final nail and bumped the Chiefs out of the postseason for the first time in a decade. Earlier, their streak of nine consecutive seasons of winning the AFC West came to an end in Week 14. It has been a miserable season for one of the fiercest teams in recent history. Amid the crashout, Travis Kelce, who has been a part of the team for his whole career, is reportedly planning his retirement.

Kelce was agitated and quite down in the dumps after they lost out on the postseason. In a press conference ahead of Week 16, the tight end told the media, “I’ve got three games left. Just trying to make sure everybody here knows that I’m focused on trying to win games in these last three games.”

As the regular season inches closer to an end, it might also be an illustrious career coming to an end. It might not be the way Kelce wants to go, but he has forever etched himself in the record books as the holder of several NFL records.
