It seems the Kansas City Chiefs weren’t joking when they declared their intention to achieve a three-peat– an unprecedented feat in the history of the NFL. As they are once again at the top of the league with a five-game winning streak, their “lucky charm” Taylor Swift had the perfect reaction to the glory.
After receiving a boatload of criticism, the “Lover” singer decided to sit out two of the Chiefs games to allow her boyfriend and star tight end Travis Kelce to divert all his attention on the game. Since his performance hardly improved in her absence, Swift returned to Kansas City but this time with a mission to get her beau back in the shape of the Pro athlete he is.
During Monday’s matchup against the New Orleans Saints, Swift was spotted at the stadium with the WAGs and cheering for the Chiefs. With a drink in her hands, she also appeared in the Instagram story of Chariah Gordon, fiancée of wide receiver Mecole Hardman Jr., following the 23-17 victory.
Swift and Golden were standing next to a framed picture of the 14-time Grammy winner inside the VIP box at Arrowhead Stadium. The pop star responded with the most perfect four-word response when asked how she felt about Kansas City’s five-game winning streak.
“Perfect is the word,” said Swift, after she redirected the question to Golden, who described the feeling as “perfect.”
It was indeed a perfect game and the Chiefs are now headed to their bye week before the repeat of last season’s Super Bowl finale– Chiefs against the San Francisco 49ers. Chances are Kelce might return to his old form by then, especially with Swift on his side for the preparation.
Jason Kelce praises Taylor Swift’s fashion at Chiefs-Saints game
The “Midnight” singer rushed to Kansas City to comfort the three-time Super Bowl champion following week 3’s game after he was seen looking miserable on the sidelines. Although she sat out week 3 and 4 games, she returned in style this week to cheer the loudest for her star boyfriend.
The pop superstar arrived at the Arrowhead stadium, dressed in a plaid minidress styled with high black boots with glitters on her face. Her outfit even received praise from Travis’ brother, Jason Kelce from the ESPN booth. As Swift’s entrance was announced, Jason paused to address it before continuing his analysis of Travis’ play.
Swift was accompanied by her football-fanatic father, Scott Swift and the father-daughter duo watched the game from the VIP booth at the Chiefs’ home stadium. Compared to previous performances, Travis’ performance was said to be better against the Saints with his girlfriend in the audience.
