The Kansas City Chiefs are back to winning ways, and the cheer is alive and well in the family area and the bleachers. The Chiefs defeated the Washington Commanders in primetime on Monday with Brittany Mahomes and Taylor Swift in the stands.

Kelce caught a 10-yard touchdown pass from Patrick late in the third quarter, and their kicker added the extra point, extending the Chiefs’ lead to 21-7. They eventually won the game 28-7. It was also Kelce’s 100th touchdown, making the moment more special.

If anything could have one-upped the viral moment between Swift and Brittany, it was Kelce’s celebration that caught the fans’ eyes.

In the endzone, Kelce recreated the “I pledge allegiance” signature moves from his fiancée’s latest hit, “The Fate of Ophelia.” Needless to say, the stadium and the viewers lit up watching that.

The song, “The Fate of Ophelia” from Taylor Swift’s latest album, The Life of a Showgirl, continued its global dominance. The song simultaneously logged a third consecutive week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, after making a modern-era record debut with 4.002 million equivalent album units two weeks prior.

In addition to The Fate of Ophelia, Swift landed three songs in the top 10 of the latest Billboard Hot 100, all from The Life of a Showgirl. This follows her eight top 10 entries last week and her historic sweep of all 10 spots the week before.

  • No. 1 – “The Fate of Ophelia” (No. 1 last week)
  • No. 4 – “Opalite” (down from No. 2, peak position)
  • No. 5 – “Elizabeth Taylor” (steady from No. 5, peak No. 3)
  • No. 6 – “Father Figure” (steady from No. 6, peak No. 4)

With the song “The Fate of Ophelia” and album, The Life of a Showgirl, the singer has now achieved seven simultaneous No. 1 debuts on both the Billboard 200 and Hot 100 charts. On October 18, 2025, her album and its lead single “The Fate of Ophelia” both entered at No. 1. Only eight artists or bands have albums debut at No. 1 on both charts.

Swift leads the pack with seven of those double debuts, followed by Drake with three. Zach Bryan, BTS, Future, Ariana Grande, Kendrick Lamar, and Morgan Wallen have each done it once.
