The Kansas City Chiefs had a nail-biting victory over the Baltimore Ravens in the first game of their season on Thursday. One of the storylines highlighting the reigning Super Bowl champions’ opening night was the visibly strained relationship between Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes as they did not sit with each other at Arrowhead Stadium.

However, now their bond appears just as strong as ever. Images of Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes sitting with one another and talking to each other at the US Open finals have surfaced. The two ladies are in attendance for the exciting matchup between Jannik Sinner and Taylor Fritz. Accompanying them are Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes.

Patrick Mahomes’s wife and Travis Kelce’s girlfriend have always been spotted sitting together at the Chiefs’ games. However, Taylor Swift was seen sitting with Donna Kelce whereas Brittany Mahomes was seated in a different suite with her daughter Sterling Mahomes on opening night at Arrowhead Stadium.

Taylor Swift has distanced herself from publicly endorsing either of the Presidential candidates ahead of the elections

The suspected reason for their fallout was Brittany Mahomes’ political preferences. She had liked a few posts of Donald Trump and the Republican Party wherein they highlighted their plan of action if elected to power. After she received flak from fans of Taylor Swift for supporting Trump, Brittany lashed out at the critics and defended her choice.

Donald Trump thanked Brittany Mahomes for “strongly defending” him and welcomed her support for the MAGA political movement. While Taylor Swift has remained silent on the presidential candidate she vouches for, based on her past choices, it is safe to assume that she is not a fan of Donald Trump. The 14-time Grammy winner has criticized Trump in the past and the last time she endorsed a candidate was before the 2020 Presidential elections wherein she vouched for two Democratic candidates.

Brittany Mahomes and Taylor Swift seem to have made amends, although there is not enough evidence to support that the duo were on shaky terms in the first place after the former publicly vouched for Trump. Considering the position that Swift is in, she may have opted to maintain some distance from Mahomes on opening night on the advice of her PR team.

It could merely have been a move to show that just because Swift and Mahomes are friends, it does not mean that they share the same opinions on all subjects. Taylor is seen having a good time at the US Open finals and she even bonded with Patrick Mahomes, who has developed a good friendship with her. The members of the band HAIM are also present alongside the football stars and their significant others.
