It’s no Taylor Swift concert if the pop icon doesn’t drop a subtle hint about her boyfriend, Travis Kelce. During the performance of her new song ‘So High School’ from her latest album ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ Swift brought back the ‘swag surf.’

Swift kicked off the Paris leg of her Eras Tour on Thursday night at the La Defense Arena. 

I wish I could have toured Europe more. This is a dream crowd.

Well, to rile up the crowd, the 34-year-old played some of her greatest hits and new releases. And the cherry on top of the cake was when she choreographed the Kansas City Chiefs popular ‘swag surf’ while performing ‘So High School.’

She also added two more songs from ‘The Tortured Poets Department‘ on the night, ‘Down Bad‘ and ‘The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived.‘

Before the end of her show, Swift addressed the crowd.

You were the first crowd to see songs from 'The Tortured Poets Department.' Or, as I like to call it, 'Female Rage: the Musical.'

How is ‘swag surfing’ linked to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce?

In the freezing temperatures of Arrowhead, the Kansas City Chiefs faced off against the Miami Dolphins in the wild card round in February. Swift, who had been a regular at the Chiefs game, also attended the game wearing a custom-made jacket from Kristine Juszczyk.

Following the Chiefs’ victory over the Dolphins, Swift joined in on the celebrations. A video surfaced that showed she was ‘swag surfing’ in the VIP suite with the rest of the Chiefs fans.

The creator of the beat, Mook Man of the Fast Life, Yungstaz, thanked Swift in an interview for liking their song.

My initial reaction to Taylor Swift swag surfing was [that ]I thought it was dope. I automatically knew it was going to be a good look just because of who she is; you know what I’m saying, what she got going on.

Mon further revealed that since Swift was seen grooving on the giant screen in Kansas City, their numbers have skyrocketed to 700% since mid-January. Swag-surfing may be very popular in the African American community, but the 14-time Grammy winner’s involvement definitely gave it a global platform. 

Taylor Swift still has three more days to perform in France. Today.com reported that some fans have traveled thousands of miles to catch a glimpse of their icon. In fact, more than 25% of the audience at Paris concerts is estimated to be from America.
