In Short
  • Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift's wedding is scheduled for July 3, 2026, in New York.
  • The couple scrapped previous wedding plans, including a Rhode Island venue and a private island.
  • Kelce proposed to Swift with a custom diamond ring, and they announced their engagement in 2025.

Page Six put an end to all the secrecy behind the date of Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s marriage. It’s going to happen in 2026, but not on June 13, as many Swifties had previously guessed.

As the NFL football season is currently on break, Kelce is keeping himself occupied with other activities. Most recently, he whacked a few birdies at the Augusta Masters alongside his Kansas City Chiefs teammate and friend, Patrick Mahomes.

Meanwhile, Swift is also on an extended break from performing. She’s reportedly busy planning her wedding to Kelce.

For the longest time, gossip columns and Swifties were anticipating that the Grammy winner would tie the knot on June 13 at a Rhode Island mansion. Mara Siegler of Page Six heard from a reliable source that the wedding is actually scheduled to take place on July 3 in New York.

Based on an article Siegler wrote in November of last year, Swift thought about getting married in Tennessee on a 4,200-acre estate in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains.

These days, many couples opt for a destination wedding with picturesque backdrops like the Amalfi Coast or the Bahamas. An insider reported that Swift toiled with the idea of hosting her nuptials on a private island, such as Necker in the British Virgin Islands.

Well, all those ideas are now scrapped, and Taylor Swift’s marriage to Travis Kelce will take place on July 3 in New York.

Swift and Kelce started dating in 2023. She attended several Chiefs games at Arrowhead Stadium and watched them win and lose a Super Bowl. A month before the 2025 season, the couple announced their engagement on a joint Instagram post featuring photos of a floral-filled garden proposal. Kelce proposed to Swift with an “old mine brilliant-cut” diamond designed by Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewellery.

Travis Kelce gets a surprising shoutout from NASA

Long before wooing the most famous woman in the world, Kelce posted a tweet that is still lingering on the internet. That same tweet resurfaced in a dramatic fashion.

Kelce experienced one of those nights when he looked up in the sky and felt mesmerized by Earth’s closest friend, Luna (The Moon). Kelce tweeted in August 2010:

The moon looks crazy tonight… Imma chill out here for a little and just visualize my success n vibe to the scenery.

Nearly sixteen years later, that same tweet received a shoutout from none other than NASA. They responded:

It’s been a long time coming.

A lot of people might not have noticed that NASA’s response is a clever nod to the song “Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince.” During her Eras Tour performance, Swift opened this particular song by saying, “It’s been a long time coming.” Swifties were quick to point that out in the comment section.

After the 6-11 debacle in 2025, many thought that Kelce would retire from football and start a family with Swift. Marrying Swift is undoubtedly one of his top priorities, but the scope of winning a fourth ring compelled him to run it back again in 2026.

In March, Kelce signed a three-year contract extension worth $54.7 million. In reality, it’s only a one-year deal, and the following two seasons are void years.
