Two men rumored to be involved with the threat of attacking Taylor Swift’s concert in Vienna were apprehended
Taylor Swift, the girlfriend of Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce, recently celebrated their one-year anniversary. Engagement rumors have been the talk of the town in the last few days. She began attending Chiefs games regularly, and the franchise’s owner, Clark Hunt, announced she was part of the Chiefs Kingdom.
When news broke of Swift’s concert cancellation, Kelce was in Kansas City attending training camp as the team prepared for their preseason opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Before the show could take place at the designated Ernst-Happel-Stadion on Thursday, the local authorities caught wind. They increased security in and around the stadium with additional armed police and protection.
However, the authorities eventually canceled the Eras Tour concert, deeming it too risky before apprehending a suspicious individual. The person in question is a 19-year-old who reportedly alleged his allegiance to ISIS or Islamic State as per Vienna State Police Director Franz Ruf.
During our investigations, we identified preparatory actions and noted that the 19-year-old suspect had a particular focus on the Taylor Swift concerts in Vienna.Franz Ruf said in a press brief on Wednesday (H/T: Reuters)
The police conducted a thorough search of the suspect’s house in Ternitz, Lower Austria. They also apprehended another suspect, but the details remain confidential, and they reckon as many as three more are on the run.
At the end of July, three girls died after being fatally stabbed by alleged far-right protestors at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class in South Port, UK. A crowd of violent mobs torched several police cars and vandalized properties.

In December 2023, Swift was in Rio for the Brazil leg of her tour, where another young fan by the name of Ana Clara Benevides died because of dehydration. It was later revealed that the stadium authorities where the concert took place issued a ban on fans bringing water inside the ground.
