Team Caitlin Clark eye ‘destroying everything’ on return from record-breaking debut season
Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark is working with Stephanie white and her new coaching staff to improve her game.
Caitlin Clark training will set her up for MVP run with Indiana Fever
Caitlin Clark might not have set many targets entering her rookie WNBA season, but she sure accomplished many. That sets up season two and the superstar will have a new coaching staff at the Indiana Fever to help her take the next step.
The Indiana Fever did not start well as Caitlin Clark struggled to adjust to the physicality of the WNBA. But slowly they started improving and then went lights out after the Olympics break. That break gave her a bit of rest which she did not get for a long time.
Now with a full offseason devoid of competitive basketball, the superstar has focused on improving her game. Knowing new head coach Stephanie White is a master of details, she went in for a workout at the Fever facilities a month ago.
Along with White was assistant coach Keith Porter who came along with her from the Connecticut Sun. Porter trained Clark during that December workout. Earlier, he was speaking with Rachel DeMita on her YouTube show when she asked what his goals were for Clark next season.
coach keith: “my goals for caitlin, i just want her to destroy everything. i wanna give her the extra tools where now, the way teams used to play her you can’t do that anymore…so now what do you do?…i want her to feel comfortable in every scenario, every coverage.” pic.twitter.com/m5m5BohSXN

It seems head coach Stephanie White and Porter along with the rest of the coaching staff have a plan in place. They have also worked out with Aliyah Boston. Therefore, there is a chance the workouts will continue once their players return from overseas or the Unrivaled league.
Caitlin Clark ready to be MVP
Once the players are back, the coaching staff will then start working with the new schemes and gameplan. However, everyone remembered how Caitlin Clark ended up fourth on the MVP ladder by the end of the season. Keeping this in mind, Rachel DeMita asked Keith Porter if he sees an MVP in Clark.
His words seem to suggest the coaching staff see the current WNBA Rookie of the Year taking the next step. She might be fighting for league MVP honors as her playmaking, scoring and game management come to the fore.
“do you see MVP caitlin on the rise?”

coach keith: “oh, ABSOLUTELY. absolutely. i definitely do.” pic.twitter.com/3aivFpQD4r
If the season goes as per plan, it might not be long before Clark’s goals of becoming a championship team come to fruition. The team needs another star acquisition in free agency, and they should be ready to destroy others.
