Amidst her recovery from injury, former World No.1 Serena Williams is spending more and more quality time with her family, specially her daughter. She can be seen teaching her tennis, dancing with her and playing with her. Recently the mother-daughter duo were seen in Serena’s 2021 Australian Open costume. Serena posted the picture on her Instagram handle with the caption ‘Next?’.
Many people across the globe liked the post and commented on it. Serena’s fast friend Caroline Wozniacki replied to the post with a heart and an emoji. Her coach Patrick Mouratoglou appreciated the picture by commenting ‘Incredible pic! ‘. Netflix handle called Olympia Serena’s new doubles partner and posted “Your new doubles partner is ???.” Gigi Hadid too wrote: “The hand??.”
Olympia is four years old and since her mom’s injury she has constantly been a part of Serena’s posts. She can be seen following her mother’s footsteps and it is assumed by Serena’s fans that she would continue her mother’s legacy when she grows up.
When will Serena Williams return on Tour
Serena hasn’t been playing on court since she suffered from a sever leg injury while playing at the Wimbledon 2021, and she had to pull out of the 2021 US Open too because of this. Since then she has stayed home recovering and fans are expecting a huge comeback. This has also led to a drop in her World ranking, she is currently ranked outside the Top 200 by the Women’s Tennis Association after she dropped points from the Australian Open.
She has not been on professional ground since seven months. Serena’s fans expected to see their favorite star at the Australian Open 2022 but she stated that she is not in position to compete. There is still no specific time mentioned by the player for her comeback.
