Andy Murray gives an honest opinion on his level
Andy Murray stated that he has to reasonable with his expectations, but at the same time, he has been making many mistakes which have hurt him. The Briton has been ranked outside the top 50 rankings for quite a while now, but he believes that his current level of tennis does not deserve for him to be ranked inside the top 50.
Andy Murray said that the positive thing is that he is improving his serve, but at the same time, there is no real consistency. “The positive thing is that I moved well and served well but my level is up and down with no real consistency,” said Murray.
“There are moments in matches where I play well and then I make mistakes or miss returns. I wish I wasn’t doing that. My level is around 50 or 60 in the world. It’s frustrating because if wasn’t moving great and not feeling good physically then I would be a bit easier on myself,” he added.
Andy Murray last played at the Winston-Salem Open, where he was defeated in the second round by Frances Tiafoe. He will now compete at US Open 2021, which commences from next week at the Flushing Meadows.
