Andy Murray was again seen taking a jibe at the world No.1 Novak Djokovic on his Twitter handle, something which he has started doing quite regularly. According to recent reports Novak Djokovic might not participate in the Australian Open 2022 as it is compulsory to be vaccinated to play the tournament.

It is widely being believed that much like Aaron Rodgers in the NFL, Novak Djokovic is also an anti-vaxxer who doesn’t trust in getting vaccinated. The tennis world has been anxious if the numero uno player in the tennis world deemed the vaccine to be unsafe.

Taking a jibe at the Serbian tennis star, Murray took to Twitter to sing praises about how magnificent the Australian Open is and how incredible the facilities are in Melbourne. He called it the most important tournament in the world as if he was hinting that it is just illogical to miss the tournament if you fit and ready to play.

Haven’t been back to Melbourne for the Australian Open for 3 years but it always amazes me the improvements Tennis Australia make to the event year on year. Easily the best facilities on tour. Gyms, recovery areas, dining, transport all improved even during Covid,” witty Murray wrote.

Earlier Novak Djokovic decided to officially withdraw from the ATP Cup in Sydney, but his plans for the Australian Open are still not out in the open. Djokovic is facing flak from fans and experts around the world for his stance on vaccines. It will be interesting to see if the Serbian responds to Murray’s indirect jibes.
