After a contentious exit from the Indian Wells 2022, Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios returned to action with a splash in the Miami Open 2022 on March 24th, Wednesday.
The World No. 132 played in an elevated, drama-filled match with the 21-time Grand Slam champion, but lost 7-6 (0) 5-7 6-4. The match eventually ended with Kyrgios slamming his racket into the floor after shaking hands with Rafael Nadal, following which he used swear words and dragged Hollywood comedian Ben Stiller into his drama. Ball boy Tei Park was forced to crouch for shelter when the racket abruptly rebounded near the arena wall. However, Kyrgios eventually used Instagram to track down the ball boy’s identity and apologised to him.
Nonetheless, Nick Kyrgios put the issue behind him and accepted a wild card into the Miami Open, where he met Frenchman Adrian Mannarino in the first round.
“Oh my goodness,” Nick Kyrgios hits an astonishing cross-court backhand
Tennis sensation of Australia, Kyrgios, was delighted with his own shot-making after an amazing return winner in the match, which he eventually won in straight sets. When the score was 2-1 in the first set’s tie-break, Kyrgios struck a backhand return winner from far outside of the tramlines, much to the delight of the crowd. Kyrgios couldn’t believe it when he nailed the nearly impossible shot and stood there with his mouth open.
Also, one of the commentators gave an astonishing reaction by saying, “Oh my goodness me, even Nick Kyrgios can’t believe the angle he found there.” “What a reaction, impressed himself,” the other commentator joined him shortly.
