Aryna Sabalenka, second seed at US Open 2021 continued her impressive run at Flushing Meadows as she completely outplayed the French Open 2021 champion, Barbora Krejcikova in the quarterfinals. The Belarusian gave the eighth seed no room for any comeback, as she asserted her authority right since the onset.

Aryna Sabalenka stormed into her second successive Grandslam semifinals, after she reached the last four at Wimbledon, where she lost to Karolina Pliskova in three sets. The second seed expressed her gratitude to her team, who have helped her to reach this level.

Aryna Sabalenka revealed the strategy which has helped her perform so well since the past week. The world number two stated that she is not focusing on the problems, and instead wants to do the right things by being professional on court.

During the match I’m not really focusing on the problem,” said Sabalenka. “I’m focusing on what should I do to win this match. I’m not really panicking or stressing about it. I’m just trying to stay smart and professional. I think this is what helped me today to win this match,” she added.

In the semifinals, Aryna Sabalenka will clash against the teenage sensation, Leylah Fernandez. Sabalenka knows that she is up against a strong opponent, with the entire crowd behind the youngster. This will be the first ever meeting between the two youngsters.

I was following her games,” Sabalenka said. “She’s playing well, moving well. I would say it’s nothing to lose for her. She’s a great player. She’s fighting for every point,” she added.
