Karen Kachanov

Karen Khachanov managed to impose himself as a very dangerous player in the ATP tour in 2021, winning an Olympic silver and making it to the Wimbledon quarter-finals. He has won four ATP singles titles, including the 2018 Paris Masters title. Khachanov achieved his career-high singles ranking of World No. 8 on 15 July 2019.

Arthur Rinderknech is a French professional tennis player who is ranked a career-high 58th in the world. Although the Frenchman did reasonably well on the clay, his record on the hard courts has been poor this year. While Rinderknech did make the semifinals of the Rennes Challenger, he has been exiting several tournaments on the hard courts over the past few months. Despite that, 2021 has been solid for him with his ATP debut, First Top 20 win, Top 100 debut, First Grand Slam win and Top 60 debut all coming this year.

Kachanov will be coming into the match brimming with confidence after a good 2021 and a good start to 2022 after his previous round comprehensive win over Gianluca Mager. Meanwhile, Arthur Rinderknech closely edged last South Korean Kwon-Soon Woo over three sets in the previous round. Kachanov would be the overwhelming favourite here going by his much superior world ranking. However, factoring in Rinderknech’s possible fatigue after a three-set victory today, it would further improve the chances of a Kachanov win.

Match Prediction- Kachanov to win in straight sets.
